Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology Dept. deals with eyeball and ocular adnexa, such as the eyelids which protect the eyeballs. It conducts research into anatomy and physiology as well as the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorder causes and pathologies. It is in charge of the clinical treatment of eye disorder patients. Eyes occupy a very small portion of the body but have a significant function with an extremely meticulous structure. Ophthalmology has therefore been a specialized discipline for a very long time. At its inception, it was a surgical discipline, but it has expanded to a broader range of interests as internal medicine and neurology are added to it.
