 The Infection Medicine Dept. treats a range of infectious diseases such as pneumonia, nephropyelitis, bacterial diarrhea, typhoid, cholera, encephalo-meningitis, and endocarditis in addition to such ailments as opportunistic diseases, AIDS in leukemia and cancer patients, and those with weakened immune systems due to organ transplants. This department controls proper antibiotic use and hospital infections as well as managing the incidence of infectious disease. 

Opened Busan’s first ‘Travel Medical Clinic’ to prevent and treat diverse potential health issues incurred during travel abroad. It provides the necessary vaccinations for the intended destinations and information on precautions, helping travelers enjoy their vacation with minimal distress. It also operates an adult vaccination clinic, promoting and providing vaccinations for adults.
